BEGINNING RIGID HEDDLE WEAVING

Because so many people have purchased rigid heddle looms from Karen Kinyon at Double K Diamond Llamas and Fiber, we are offering a Beginning Weaving Class at Celebration 2012!! Join Karen from 1-5 p.m. on Thursday and learn how to use that great little loom. Bring your loom with reed and accessories, warping board and scissors and we will help get your project on the loom. Class will included planning a project, measuring warp, sleying the reed and dressing the loom. Karen sells Schacht "Cricket" and "Flip" looms, but all rigid heddle looms are welcome. If you don't have a loom yet, Karen will have all looms and supplies available. Cost is $50.00 per person and includes llama and alpaca yarn for the project.

"SPIN" TO "MARKET" YOUR ANIMAL

Take a spinning lesson on a Drop Spindle and spin yarn out of your llama anywhere you go. It's another way to make your llama portable! Gogi Villanueva has been a Spinning and Knitting instructor for six years. She works at Middleford Yarn shop in Medford, Oregon where she educates her customers about fiber and knitting through classes and workshops. She also has her own herd of llamas and alpacas and two Angora rabbits. Class will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 9:00am-11:00am. The cost is $50.00 and includes spindle and fiber.
