Mark April 13-15, 2012 on your calendar. Everyone is again invited to the Heritage Place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for the Spring Celebration Llama Sale. The Celebration Classic (a double-point halter show, that will be sanctioned by ALSA and the ILR-SD, and a walking fleece show) will be held on Friday, the preview and sale on Saturday and the World Futurity on Sunday. Don’t forget the Celebration party at Embassy Suites Friday night—food, live music and a no-host bar. Everyone enjoyed showing off their males on herd sire row. Bob & Toni Skousen, Goose Valley Llamas, will be the production sale portion of the Celebration Sale with a group of their best llamas.

In the 2011 sale the average for the “Top 10” was $7310 — the high selling female was WLK Panera ($7800) purchased by Courtnee & Robin Benson and the high selling male was GNLC Starbucks ($23,000) purchased by Holly Russell. The 2011 payout for the World Futurity was $40,950, divided up between 9 classes, with 1st place receiving $1650. The “People’s Choice Awards”, so popular in each of the past sales will again be given in 2012. A good time was had by all. Look for some new and very exciting additions to the weekend's events.
